Carroll Basketball Players Say They Are Awake

“Don’t sleep on Archbishop Carroll basketball.” Those are the words of many of the Patriots’ players, despite all of the preseason attention that Neumann-Goretti, Archbishop Wood, Roman Catholic, Monsignor Bonner, St. Joseph’s Prep and La Salle are getting in this season’s super-tough Catholic League. Carroll has been a major player in the league and has a great young junior in A. J. Hoggard, as well as senior Justin Anderson and Keyon Butler. “I think we are going to be very good,” said Anderson. “The league is so good and will be so much fun. But we think we will be there in the end, too. We have great coaches, we work hard and we have a lot of talent. The talent on every team is crazy but I would like to think that includes us as well.”
