PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH SHINES

According to Liberty City Press, the Colonials (9-0) are one of the four top teams in the area at the Christmas break. The other three are Westtown, Imhotep Charter, and Neumann-Goretti. Plymouth Whitemarsh knocked off Bonner-Prendergast (7-2) at Jefferson University Dec. 29 in the Pete and Jameer Nelson Classic in a classic game. “Both teams played super hard. The fans got to see a really great game. It just didn’t go our way in the end,” said Bonner coach Jack Concannon.

PW coach Jim Donofrio also appreciated the effort and loved the outcome. “Our guys just play so hard. Our guards, the Williams twins [Ahmad and Ahmin] have not been offered any scholarships and they are playing with a chip on their shoulder. No one is playing harder than those kids. We have to do a better job of closing out games but we are getting there. It was a great game for us to win.”
