Celebrating Our Destination City

Local tourism industry recognizes success and networks for the future.

The Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau (PHLCVB) held their annual luncheon on Wednesday, Nov. 22 at the National Constitution Center. Rep. Dwight Evans led a toast to PHLCVB's Diversity Division for a decade of raising Philadelphia’s profile as an ethnically diverse convention and visitor destination by showcasing the city’s vibrant multicultural communities. On hand to join the toast were Mayor Jim Kenney, Nicholas DeBenedictis, chairman of DiscoverPHL board, Julie Coker Graham, president and CEO of PHLCVB and Gregory DeShields, executive director PHL Diversity. In all, over a thousand business leaders, hospitality employees and decision makers got together to network and celebrate another year of tourism and growth for Philadelphia.
