Starting the new year off with a bang, Saxbys held an all-day Grand Opening pay-as-you-wish event at their new 1818 Market St. café. Some celebrity guests helped out as baristas, including Philadelphia Eagle Todd Herremans and FOX 29’s Mike Jerrick. Councilwoman Cherelle L. Parker, Beneficial Bank CEO Gerry Cuddy and AgileCat CEO Peter Madden stopped by as well. Proceeds went to the Saxbys Fellowship, a program designed in partnership with the Community College of Philadelphia that will provide 10 scholarships to students to help them achieve their academic goals.
