Local chefs serve up spectacular delicacies with a spectacular view

More than a dozen of East Passyunk Avenue’s award-winning chefs served up dishes way up at the Bok Bar during the 2nd annual “Up on the Roof” fundraising party. Guests enjoyed hors d’oeuvres and small plates, a raffle, a cash bar, DJ Christophonic and a spectacular sunset over the Philadelphia skyline. Proceeds from the event go to EPA programs and services.

Serving Up Fun

Ping-pong and glamour inaugurate new club

The ping-pong social club SPiN officially opened in Philadelphia recently with a grand party which attracted celebrities, influencers and the fashionable of Philadelphia. The 12,000-Square-Foot Ping Pong Bar opened at 211 S. 15th Street with hosts Robert Covington of the 76ers, renowned artist King Saladeen and legendary rapper Schoolly D. participating in games through out the night.

Celebrating Those Who Give Back

Celebrating with almost 300 guests in attendance, “The Made Man Honoree Reception and Suit Drive” was held at the Comcast Center in Center City. The distinguished event honored the outstanding achievements of 50 African-American men who are giving back to the Philadelphia community and was presented by The Philadelphia 76ers, 100 Black Men of America, Inc., the Urban League, and Blueprint Global Group.

Turn5 Crowns New King of the Road

Turn5, an award-winning e-commerce automotive business, presented a dramatically made over Ford F-150 to a local, teenage cancer survivor as part of the company’s ongoing commitment to Make-A-Wish. The reveal party was on Wednesday, August 30 at Turn5’s headquarters in Malvern, Pa. 18-year-old Levi King was diagnosed with cancer last year and is now in remission. This is Turn5’s fifth vehicle they have modified for Make-A-Wish recipients.
