Celek and Chang grow their restaurant dynasty 

Three years ago, friends and business partners Philadelphia Eagle Brent Celek, and chef Hee “Chino” Chang opened Prime Stache, 110 Chestnut St. This week, they celebrated the opening of their second restaurant, Bop, 220 S. Broad St. Bop is a Korean-inspired restaurant serving Korean Chicken Nachos, Edamame Ravioli, Fried Noodle Salad, Stir Fry and more. Bop is open 11 am to 11 pm daily.

No Haters

On May 15, at the Philadelphia Navy Yard, Bryshere Y. Gray, aka Yazz The Greatest, who plays Hakeem Lyon on Fox’s popular TV show “Empire,” performed at the Anti-Defamation League’s annual Walk Against Hate. Mayor Jim Kenney was on hand to officiate the start of the walk, and it ended at the Diversity Expo, where participants grabbed a bite to eat, strolled the vendor tables and enjoyed cultural entertainment on the main stage.

“The Radicalisation of Bradley Manning,” produced by Inis Nua Theater Company at The Drake in Philadelphia, opened to rave reviews and runs through May 15. Bradley Manning is a 24-year-old U.S. soldier accused of releasing 250,000 secret emails and logs about the Iraq and Afghan wars to WikiLeaks.

This Election Day evening, the Pennsylvania Convention Center was abuzz for Hillary Clinton’s Primary Election Night party. Clinton, won all of Tuesday’s primaries except for Rhode Island.

The city comes together to celebrate clean streets and air

On Saturday, April 16, thousands of Philadelphians in all parts of the city helped with neighborhood and park clean ups. Others participated in the 2016 Run for Clean Air Presented by Toyota Hybrids at the Art Museum. The run is Philly’s oldest and largest celebration honoring Earth Day. No Dog Gets Left Behind is an amazing organization that rescues war dogs from overseas and reunites them with the soldiers who bonded with them at war. The organization was founded by Trish Gohl and inspired by her nephew, who was stationed overseas and bonded with a dog that he wanted to bring back to the states.
