Food truck foodies open an indoor eatery

Revolution Taco opened last week in Rittenhouse Square at 2015 Walnut Street. Mike Sultan and Carolyn Nguyen, owners of Street Food Philly and Taco Mondo food trucks, have joined forces with Alan Krawitz of Say Cheese to open a brick and mortar operation. On offer are tacos and burritos of various flavors including smoked mushrooms, Korean fried chicken, fried chick pea batter and kimchi. Hours are Sunday to Thursday until 9 p.m. and weekends until midnight.

Welcome to the New Mayor of the City of Brotherly Love

Former councilman Jim F. Kenney was sworn in as Philadelphia's 99th Mayor on Jan. 4. Kenney who was born and raised in South Philly, was administered the oath of office by his childhood friend, Judge Kevin Dougherty with Kenney's children Nora, 21, and Brendan, 26 looking on at the Academy of Music. NRG Home for the Holidays

Local charities benefit from festive contest

NRG Home held it’s 2nd Annual Gingerbread House Decorating Contest for Charity at the Christmas Village in Love Park earlier this month. Media personalities partnered with charities to raise money for local causes in the Philadelphia area. NRG Home donated $1,000 to Red Paws, MANNA and the Ronald McDonald House, with $2,000 going to the College Settlement Fund, whose team won for the best gingerbread house this year...
